Lake Worth Beach Electric Utilities, in partnership with FMPA and Origis Energy, has completed the Whistling Duck Solar Energy Center, a nearly 75-MWac facility that strengthens the city’s renewable energy portfolio while supporting long-term reliability, sustainability, and price stability for municipal utility customers.
Lake Worth Beach Electric Utilities Director Ed Liberty has received the Mark Crisson Leadership and Managerial Excellence Award from the American Public Power Association. Presented at APPA’s national conference on June 10, 2025, the award recognizes his leadership in strengthening the city’s electric infrastructure, reducing costs and emissions, and delivering reliable, efficient service.
