Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida – The Florida Municipal Electric Association (FMEA) today elected a new slate of officers to preside over the organization’s board of directors. Serving as the executive leadership team of the board are President Ed Liberty, electric utility director of the City of Lake Worth Beach; President-elect Steve Langley, electric utility director of the City of Mount Dora; Vice President Tony Guillen, general manager of the City of Tallahassee Electric & Gas Utility; and Secretary-Treasurer Ricky Erixton, chief electric systems officer of JEA.
March 31, 2026 – Lake Worth Beach Electric Utilities joined partners in Williston, Florida, to celebrate the completion of the Whistling Duck Solar Energy Center, marking the final milestone of Phase II of the Florida Municipal Solar Project.
March 25, 2026 – Explore the first 100 years of the City of Lake Worth Beach Electric Utilities, highlighting the growth, innovation, and milestones that shaped the community’s electric system from 1914 to 2014.
March 23, 2026 – Since joining Lake Worth Beach Electric Utilities, Substation Engineer Sergo Sagareli has played a key role in strengthening and modernizing the city’s electric system. From supporting major infrastructure projects like the 6th Avenue Substation to exploring advanced technologies for safety and efficiency, Sergo’s work reflects the innovation and collaboration driving the utility forward.
March 12, 2026 – A planned maintenance outage will occur on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM affecting 1212 Lake Ave and 1205 Lucerne to 1302 Lake Ave. The outage will allow crews to complete system hardening upgrades to improve reliability for customers in the area.
